Permanently Delete Your Account On Give A Hand

If you’d like to delete your Give A Hand account for any reason, we make it easy to do so.

Please note that we’re discussing deleting an account rather than a fundraiser. If you’re seeking to delete a fundraiser, you can find guidance at the bottom of this article.

How to Delete Your Account

Once you’re logged in to your Give A Hand account, navigate to the top-right corner of the website to find the pull-down menu. This is where you’ll find options for your profile, the Help Center, and more.

Click on “Profile” to access your profile details and email preferences.

On this profile page towards the bottom is where you’ll find a "Delete Account" button to close your Give A Hand account. Once clicked, follow the simple prompts to permanently delete your account.

Looking to Delete Your Fundraiser (Not Your Account)?

There are two core ways to conclude a Give A Hand fundraiser, one of which is permanently deleting the fundraiser.

To do so, follow these steps:

In the pull-down menu at the top-right of the website, select “Your fundraisers.”
Navigate to your Give A Hand fundraiser Manage page.
Click “Edit.”
From the sub navigation tab, choose “Settings” .

If on mobile click on the three dots toggle menu followed by a “Delete fundraiser” option. Once clicked, follow the prompts to delete your fundraiser. If on desktop towards the bottom is where you’ll find a "Delete fundraiser" button to end your fundraiser.

By choosing to delete the fundraiser, you are both removing the ability for the fundraiser to appear and your ability to access the fundraiser. However, your donors will be able to see a summary of the fundraiser. Due to the permanent nature of deleting a fundraiser, you will need to type out “DELETE” when prompted in order to complete this function.

TIP: If your goal is to end your fundraiser, we recommend turning off the “Allow Donations” option rather than permanently deleting the fundraiser. This will still allow you to access the fundraiser to provide updates and more, but will effectively end the fundraiser.
